Definately. Ive seen 160 pumps put out some big numbers, Jeff Garmon's 700hp twin turbo 12v still has a basically untouched 160 pump on it.

160s have barrels and plungers that really like timing. 160/175 cams don't fill as long as what a 215/180 cam do.

Maybe thats part of the reason he can run 32* of timing on that thing then

Default ? about the 215 pump

Hi I have a 215 pump on my 92 w350 and what's the deal with the timing issue with these pump or how do u make them better thanks

I really dont think its a big deal until you start running a lot of power, and even then, its still a minor issue. I know a guy that has an 800hp fuel only p-pumped 24v with the 215 pump, and hes just fine.

Ok so dont worry about it till I tear everything down some year I want 1000 to 1200 HP some day but it won't be for awhile I got a lil girl coming in 5 weeks (crazy)

I think its a half degree of timing per 1000 rpm when you get into the higher rpms, but dont quote me on that.

If you're going to hit quad digits, you wont be able to keep the stock 12mm plungers (probably have to go to 13mm or so) on fuel alone, so the notch in them shouldnt be a problem then.
