If you remove the shift fork cover. You can see the splined ends of both axles and the ring that slides over the two to make them one. THe ring engages the front end when you pull the cable or the vaccuum pump moves the fork and you are in 4 wheel drive. Just slide the ring into the engaged position over the two axles and weld it. It doesnt have to be much just a tack on each side and VIOLA you are LIVE. No more vaccuum or cable it has to wark when you pull the T case lever ithas no choice.

Yeah I thought about doing that but then my turning radius would be even worse than what it is already. backing a trailer with a live front end is not fun. I'll keep trying to find my vaccumm leak. my cruise control isn't working either
