They make them sensitive to drive, emmisions, and etc would be my guess but who knows.

I think the average Joe would burn their trucks down if they came that way.

Not hard, maybe half hour of work. Keep a good pencil magnet on hand.

Some people say not to remove shims, I say remove every one. If you don't, then the spring tensions will be different on each side, and it messes your idle up, and can mess up your rpm's through the whole band. It did mine, I had to search and pull out all the shims.

Also, try to get the stud protrustion around . 045 on each side. Thats imperative. If the sides aren't even, it will lope like a SOB. Calipers are great for this.

Alot of people use the stud protrusion and that is probably the way it should be done but on the other hand i have never done it that way and i go 1 soft click and 3 hard clicks and have never had one lope any more than when i took stock ones out. With that being said now ill probably do one exactly that way and have one way out of wack

, I tried just going off clicks at first, couldn't get it right. I was forced to use calipers

I havent done mine yet, but clicks seems to be the easier and more common method. Now of course if I cant get it set right, then Ill break out a pair of calipers.
