it really is all the way you drive 4,10 will do ok fuel mileage if you dont exceed 55mph

I really just dont see the point of lower gears than 3.73's with a diesel unless you have bigger than stock tires.

when you pull the 410 out i will buy from you. i have 355 in my play truck and want the extra tow with 410s.

3:73 will do ya fine,now ya got me wondering about something,my 95 12valve has 4:10s & i get 24.7mpgs regular driving with a 5spd auto usaully drive it at around 60mph although i have more done to mine then dieselfunohio shouldnt he still be getting around 18-20 mpgs?

1) you get nearly 25mpg out of 4.10's?
2) How do you have a 5spd auto in a 95? Did you swap trannies?

Do you have a 618 with a add on overdrive uint ? thats what I was thinking of doing and keeping the 4.10 I believe that one to one input and output with a lockup is best though. any time you add more moving pasts you create friction baybe a 3.07 gear for highway with a underdrive uint to make the hills only???

1)yes 4:10 front & end back front is a dana60 back a dana80
2)yes i had my dad mechanic build me a 5spd auto & it has an overdrive unit
