Default broken "throttle" spring

the truck is a 98 12v with the 215 pump. the truck has a broken spring on the lower lever tied to the throttle linkage. from what i can tell it isnt a throttle return and its located towards the bottom of the pump. the truck has stalling issues and we've sunk a good bit of money into it and i'd hate for a simple spring to solve the problem hah just wondering the function, always assumed it had something to do with the cruise

have you found out what was causing your truck to stall mine will idle just fine and when randomly will stall when put into drive and you start to take off and the more throttle you give it the more it bogs out and did you ever find out what that spring went to mine is broken also

Default broken "throttle" spring

The truck developed a miss, we changed the delivery valve hoping it'd solve the miss, it sounded like a timing problem except on one cylinder. The delivery valves didn't solve the problem but it cured our stalling issues. Look into fuel pressure issues, whether it be the overflow valve or lift pump. Our 98 just went into the shop for a corroded wire to the lift pump. The lift pump wasn't working. And I had the parts guy look up that spring. He still hasn't gotten back to me.

apparently that spring has no other function than tension, atleast thats what the dodge garage said. i think i'm going to look up a cummins dealer and give them a call.
