Emissions test revved to 3500 rpm
Hello i have a 96 12v 2500 5spd my dad took it to get the emission's tested on it
and they had in floor it 3 times and he told be it was revving to about 3500 rpm
is this normal? I was under the impression that i would need a gsk to do that. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thats what i was thinking. Im in afghanistan right now and cant really lookat the truck but my dad says it did. Im just trying to figure out how it could do that without a gsk.
I agree id be like get the hell outta my truck or im gonna throw you out. May not have a governor spring kit. Mine actually had something weird done to the springs. The guy who had it before me took all the spacer shims out and tightened down to like .08" It would free rev to 3500, even under load it would go to 3200.
So i'm from mo... emission tests are obsolete here... i've heard they put something over your pipe like shops and dynos have to get rid of the smoke... is it just me or would it not be hilarious to just black stack it into that thing one time and make it go crazy and blow up!!!!!
.. just my .02..
