OK guys i have a 97 dodge with the 47re trans. bought the truck 2 weeks ago and now the trans is acting up. i don't think its major but need to fix. shifts from 1st to 2nd fine . 2nd to 3rd it doesn't want to shift right away or it feels like it kicks in to neutral then into 3rd . and other time if u come to a stop some times it starts off in 2nd its weird. i think its the govern pressure solenoid thanks for Ur help guys

 

My friend has the same problem with his 97 the best solution we found was part #nv4500 its a kit that goes in between the bell housing an transfer case eliminating all silly-noids an pressure Problems, plus you gain a gear!!! Just messing with ya goodluck wish I had a real answer for you but I know nada about atoumatics.

 

mine was the electric govenor switch and i replaced the pressure switch while i was in there for good measures,, mine would shift thru the gears to 3rd just sitting at a red light and i had to manually shift it to get home,, good luck bud
