Wont idle...surges, black smoke
I bought & installed one of those 98 gal diamond plate axillary fuel tanks that fits under the tool box in the bed of my '95 3500. It belonged to a buddy of mine & was used but like new. I drained what little bit of old fuel was in it but apparently missed some trash that was in it. The truck ran fine until the last of the fuel was run out of the tank, then it started to run rough and not idle. I removed the tank and cleaned it and there was something (looked like skinless grapes ?!) that came out of the tank. I changed the fuel filter, but it still has problems. It will run down the road OK but still wont idle. Any ideas on what should I do next?
