How to i advance my timing the easy way? I need to go a few degrees.

Try posting in the 1st gen section since thats what you have. I know on the p pump trucks you need a kit, but I have heard of it being done on the 1st trucks by moving the pump.

P-pump on the first gen. should probably update it.

Oh yea you left that out, you need a kit to time the p pump

I want to adjust my timing on my 96 but I don't like anyone working on her but me. I guess I need to buy the setup to do it huh

u dont need a kit u have to get the motor and pump on top dead sinter pull the timing gear cover on front of motor loosen the nut on the top gear for the pump so u can turn the timing on the motor while the pump stays the same if im wrong tell me i had a buddy do my truck

problem is getting the gear off that is torqued to 200ft lbs. thats where the puller comes in.

OK and how do you know what you're setting it at.
