how many miles are on it and is it mechanicaly sound, fluid leaks or anything like like that? does the tranny slip if its an auto? in 09 i paid $3500 for my 94 5spd it had 170xxx miles on it, no rust but i few scratches and dings here and there.

where your at i would look for rust issues...around corners on the bed and cab. other than that i would say if it runs and drives decent 3000 isnt a bad deal at all.
