can anyone help me out with this
i gots a 98 12 valve and my 4x4 and cab air vents dont work. there are no craked or broken hoses but the green line coming from the vacuum switch on the trasnfer case does not go anywere and is open not plugged, but were it should be plugged into on the T under the cowl is capped. The red n black lines going to the CAD are in good shape. is this open green line the reason nothing works or does the switch close those lines anyway or something

Yes I had the same problem on my truck when I bought it and couldn't figure out for the life of me what the problem was with my vents! I got to looking and noticed the 4x4 didn't work either so I checked the vaccum switch it was working and we were getting vacuum coming in but the other side wasn't hooked up. Re-plumbed the whole system with new lines to make sure there were no cracks I hadn't noticed and then everything worked perfectly!

Wow that diagram is very helpful. I always knew those lines on you firewall controlled your vents but never actually traced them. I know some friends who are gonna love this
