the stock turbo on my 96 finally gave it up. i'm looking for a turbo and need some advice. everything is forward with a #1 fuel plate . what does everybody recommend? will a hx40 do it or do i need bigger . will the stock turbo head mated to a 16 cm housing work? does anyone have anything for sale.

 

what all is done to your truck/ tranny/ exhaust power goals ?

 

I have a # 1 fuel plate. It is slid forward. The star wheel is full forward. In the future I plan on 90 hp injectors and 4ks and 60# springs. I guess that I will need bigger dvs when those are done. I think that a phatshaft 64 or an aurora 3000 will work for these mods that are in the future. Tax time is a couple months off and I need a turbo right now. I found hx40's for around the same price as the stock one. Will this support the mods that I have now?

 

thats what turbo im planning on getting for mine and i have basically the same mods. i think it would work for you. how much did you find the hx40 for? and where at?

 

I have found new hx40's on eBay for around 300 + 30 for shipping. I also found a reman
Hx50 for 500 + 60 for shipping.

Oh well I'm only broke down. If you can score you a turbo on my thread that's great jet leave me on the side of the road. No I'm just kiddin I don't have the money to buy that s400 anyway. I just need one to get me by till the tax money comes. If I can get a hx40 and use it for twins later then that's what I'll get. What all will I have to have to put it on.
