Mine is a 12v 98 quadcab with a 47re, I swapped over to a 2001 NV5600. I had the entire 2001 truck accessible to me, but really only used the clutch pedal, master cylinder, trans and transfer case. everything else was the same.

Now over a year later, my 2001 241DLD has fried itself, and Ive decided to rework it to accept a speed se4nsor so my cruise works. Anybody have any pointers?

Swap the input shaft in the Transfer Case that was originally in your 98 and run that one?

About the only thing you can do is find a older 241 with the speed sonsor and run it. I'm not familiar enough with the speed sensors to know what you would have to change to make them work. At the very least, I would imagine you would have to change the mainshaft and the rear tailshaft housing, but that is all conjecture on my part.

I've heard of people using a converter box and taking the pulsed signal from one of the ABS sensors and using that as the signal for the speed meter.
