47rh problems
I have just bought a 94 with a 47rh, it has no reverse. im thinking i will rebuild trany my self since i have rebuilt several autos before. I plan on a billet converter and replacing bands and frictions. If anybody can give me advice on what else should be upgraded it would be appreciated. I plan on using truck for hauling trailers with turned up pump , but mostley stock. Im thinking about swaping for nv4500 but dont want to spend that much money.

if you do a good tc and put a valve body in there the tranny would do great, i would get some different selector steels so you can put an extra clutch and steel in each clutch pack, put the kevlar front band in, billet aluminum interminate servo and accumulator, also get the black high energy fricitons and thinner steels
they are actually a more popular tranny than the 47re but they are the same tranny, all the parts interchange except for the vb and the case, the case if different because the vb in the re has a 7 pin connector and the rh has a 3 pin connector
