runs great, changed the timing cover gasket and ran some cetane & injector cleaner and she runs like new now, now the trans is slipping

 

so wat was the problem

 

im not sure the timing checked good so i threw the cover back on and ran some injector cleaner in it and no more popping, now that i think about it i cleaned the intercooler out it was soaked in oil prolly have a half quart of oil in it from when the turbo went out that might have been the problem sucking in motor oil into the cylinders

 

im still thinkin this 96 is bad injectors i think it has over 450k miles

 

yea its possible but im not gonna complain that mines running great from whatever happened , i just have to deal with the trans now, its slipping real bad after you leave off the line hard on the throttle
