i also noticed i have no light under the hood or in the glove box, or in the foot wells, just a dome light. this is why iv always been a chevy guy, you literally can not buy a comparable chevy this stripped down.

i have to say tho, everyone tells me that my dodge has the nicest dash they have ever seen for these trucks, it must have been replaced.

chevy was nice enough to put a light on a retractable cord under the hood because they new you were gonna break down and have to work on it on the side of the road at night! my 96 doesnt have a cargo light either but it is a base, my other dually i had was a laramie and it had the overhead display and a cargo light.

i actually really like the light on a cord, i think they're pretty cool. my chevy has one and its funny you mentioned it because i actually just got a spare one to install on my dodge . they are handy for all kinds of situations, you can wind that baby out almost 30ft it seems before you run out of wire. i also have a cheap light that im gonna mount under the tool box to somewhat solve my cargo light problem. i just dont understand why dodge would build such a capable truck built to do any job yet leave you without things like tow hooks or a cargo light, its like the truck is built to work but all the little options you need to do the work are missing.
