gas pedal sticking

Default gas pedal sticking

ha ha my truck is not back on the road yet but i was sittin in it fake driving it i pushed my go go juice pedal and it was real stiff then eased up and went down then i let off and it stayed a second then flopped back up?? anybody had this problem i feel dumb askin i just dont know where to start lookin . its gonna be hard to drive a straightshift with a wierd stiff pedal

Throttle cable is my guess.

Tried to find a link for ya but it looks like dodgeram.org is down.

all i know is it never done it then i put the other pedals in and put the bracket back up and its stiff then sticks

one aint there i already know that but its stiff goin down thats wat i dont like

One of mine fell off too. I can press down with my pinky . It's nice, I'm not replacing it. But when the engine isn't running the pump acts a little different since the gov isn't spinning, I would just make sure it doesn't stick when it's running.

if you're mechanically inclined maybe you can do this,if not,please seek a mechanic if problem still exists. 1st with car off and in park w/motor OFF. pull and push gas pedal up and down with your hand. feel resistance from pedal?nothing blocking the pedal at floor? next open hood. in park,with engine off, follow gas linkage with your hand, when you reach the accelerator,move it by turning it with your hand, spray it with wd40,if this does'nt improve the sticking,you may have a burr in the wire inside the fuel cable,simply put,it will need to be replaced and not safe to operate on the road, it's not really complicated repair but you can be helped through it with directions. if not mechanically inclined, don't recomennd you try it though. hope this helps you
