Default dead air bag and cruise..??

Like the title says, they died on me today. First the cruise went out then the air bag light came on. Otherwise the truck seems to be working fine. There's got to be a connector somewhere to tie the wheel to the rest of the truck's electronics... Has anyone else had this problem?

sounds like bad clock spring to me... but my experience is with jeeps, not sure if the set-up is the same.

Did some poking around on google and that seems to be a likely culprit. My horn still works though. Will that toss out the clockspring or is the horn just not connected to it in our trucks?

mine that busted was the one that runs along the firewall but is covered or should be by the rubber liner that is along the top of the motor bay there in the back

Does the cruise light come on? If it does then maybe the vacuum line. If it doesn't I'm betting clock spring.

The cruise and brake lights have never worked... I'm gonna buy a clock spring when I get back in town. Anyone know of a place that sells em aftermarket or something? $200 from the dealer seems outrageous for what the part is.

Thats how mine is. Dad has a 2wd like mine and his only has the "brake" light..no "cruise." I ordered a clock spring this morning, should have it installed tomorrow afternoon.
