hey guys I have a buddy who has a 95 and it idles just fine and runs just fine but when its in gear and not moving it chugs and dies or if you blip the throttle it does it also only when its in gear though. I checked his timming this afternoon and its right on, I also adjusted his Idle so its right at 700 rpm. I cant figure it out Im thinking maybe its his overflow valve on his injection pump what do you guys think?

 

is the air housing on tight engough? had this happen at work the other day.

 

What do mean by the air housing? the AFC housing?

 

i think i would bump the idle to 800 or 850 and see if that helps. what does the idle drop to when in gear? had the same problem and bumping it up to 800ish resolved the problem

 

it drops it way down to around 250 or 300 I mean it bearly will keep itself going, its fine in nutural you can rev it up all you want and it wont die but put it in drive and blip the throttle and puhhh she dies does the same in reverse too.
