I was recently informed that a faulty speed sensor will cause all kinds of issues , shifting late and soft , along with the TPS causing the same issues also ....

so glad I have a manual Trans so I don't have to deal with stuff like managing my regularly scheduled transmission rebuild. good luck with that

I cant drive a manual anymore in NY. It takes me 20 mins to do 5 miles every day to work.

And parts to do the rebuild are not that bad. rebuild kit, $350-400. Trans temp gauge, $15.00, solenoids, 50$, only expensive part is the TPS for about $110. Torque converters are expensive!

Besides, doing a clutch is just as annoying and swapping converters.:moon: lol

I like my torque lock. I just leave it on when I turn it on. But I have to turn it off before I come to a stop.
And my trans isn't having any issues.

Here is a ckt to release the lock up switch when brakes are applied.
It changed the on switch to a momentary push button switch
and automatically shuts it off if you tap your brakes.
Now you no longer need to remember to shut off the switch when coming to a stop,
or to release while in motion..
Let me know if this helps.
