tranny temps??
has anyone here deleted thier tranny exchange cooler? i took mine out while i was putting my rebuilt trans back in and now im getting some wierd temps and idk if its from the trans or the cooler
it used to run about 180 (hard or easy driving) in the summer and i have the sensor in the gov test port, after deleting the cooler and rebuild i rigged up a tee type fitting into the hot side out line to the cooler, so i could put the temp sensor there, temps got up to 170-180 pretty quick then after it was warm i noticed as i left a light it would heat up maybe 20* or so and then cool back down just has quick as soon as it went into lock up.
any ideas?? im thinking its either because i changed those few things and thats normal or my tc is slipping?

I removed my heat exchanger as well, and I am running nothing but cooler. My temperature probe is i one of the test ports on the right side of the transmission, as Edge shows to install it. Temperatures here in Alberta are a lot less than Arizona, but I have yet to see mine go over 185 since the removal.

ya i thought mine should have gone down as well, i tried the probe in both places and they are pretty consistent but the one in the cooler line reads quicker
