Well as long as you sand the wheel the paint should stick.Im not doing it until I see what it looks like cause it could look ugly with that design wheel.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

well i found a guy who did it but I would paint the center caps black too.

Thanks for posting that I think it looks good, just to bad the stock wheels are so skinny. It would look good with black center caps as well I wonder if it is possible to peel the chrome off of the center caps

Looks good , What kind of paint did you use? Any problems with chipping or peeling? from the pic it looks like some paint is missing on the front wheel, but maybe those are wheel weights. How wide are those tires?

those are wheel weights. i havent gotten a chance to repaint the wheels since i got my tires put on. and the tires are 315/75/16 or otherwise known as 35's . As for the paint its just rattle can black a few coats and then rattle can clear a few coats. as for prep i just sanded and scuffed the wheels and also layed down little primer. they used to be the chrome steel wheels. let me know if you have anymore questions. id be happy to help

Wow I've got 285/75/16 and I thought that's as wide as I could go on the chrome steel wheels, do you have any problems with rubbing? That truck looks real good, I'm really considering do the same thing

Some may have a hard time finding a tire shop that will mount a 315 on a 6.5" wide wheel. Not a good idea if you ask me.

Your black stockers do look pretty good.

But for a few bucks you could buy some Crager Soft 8's (in the proper width):

I actually thought 285's where to wide for a 6.5" wheel, I would like to get a set of those cragars to bad they don't come in 10" width. I might have found a set of aluminum wheels for cheep, I'll see what happens

285s are borderline. My Cooper ST's have been working and wearing great.

Looks like they are phasing out the 16" wheels - Im sure they had 10" one before. The soft 8's come in a 17"X9" which works for a 315

You could look at a different manufacturer - Im sure they are out there.

US Wheel perhaps?
