Thank you!
Well I am back in Oregon and finally back at the shop. BUT I have a lot of work for work to catch up on sales to send out and backorders to fufill all good things but that also means more delays on the truck project.
It was so sad to walk into the shop and see in the dim light the poor old truck sitting neglected and gaining a coat of dust over the last month while I was away. Parts of the truck still strewn about in the mad rush to get out of town.
I think I have decided that the weather in Oregon sucks, it feels colder here than it did when I was in Cleveland and it was 30* colder than here. Everything is wet and cold, the air is wet and cold. I am thinking of moving to New Mexico near Santa Fe. Any thoughts on that? I have been there a few times now it is sunny most of the time and does not get overly hot it only rains for about a mont or two. I actually got a sunburn there during this last trip over the two days i was driving around Santa Fe.
I would still lilke to finish the truck before the move.

I live in New Mexico and love it. The climate is great for a auto/truck enthusiast. I have had parts of my Superbee in bare metal for years with no rust!
I have family in Oregon and can't imagine dealing with a climate as wet as that!
I wish you good luck in whatever you decide to do. By the way, nice build. I just read the whole thread.

Hello All,
Thanks!!
So nothing has happened with the truck in a while, looks like I am going to go to another 3 tradeshows in California and New Mexico so it will be a while longer before I can get back to work... Also need to find that money tree to pay for the stuff I still need. I had a parts truck that I was going to sell parts off the help cover costs, just went to the place where I have it and found that someone has been parting it out for me so I am now missing about $1,000 in parts. I hope calling the cops, and locking up the place better will help stop them from taking the rest of the truck.
I still am out of my home and living in Hotels waiting for them to finish the place after the fire.
The front and rear axles, brakes and related parts are off a 99 GMC TopKick which is a very large box truck. I am using the 1939 frame and boxing it in with .25" plate welding the entire length not just spots.
cheers, keep up the conversation to tempt me back into the project
Thanks!!

Thanks guys, I will update as things progress. I made some cool hinges for the navigation monitor so it can flip down and out of the headliner.
I am also trying to figure out how to hide all of the extra gauges, Air Ride, WVO system, EGT, Boost etc.
I am thinking of using the motor out of a computer CD drive to push in and out the cupholders, have the thing mostly figured out, drive torn apart and ready.
I just picked up one of those portable coolers to salvage parts from to make my built in cooler for the truck.
Much of the interior is getting planned out, not much started yet, but planning takes the time. Again the problem is that I want to have every feature, but do not want to see them and want the truck to look original. Power windows, heated seats, 8 way power seats, heated mirrors, air ride suspension, navigation, heat and AC, onboard air compressor for tools, rear liftgate, built in electric cooler, and so much more.
As for performance it sounds like I am going to install Colt Cams stage 3, 50-90Hp sticks, change up the intercooler, custom exhaust... for now. When I find some money I am thinking twins, and upgrading the trans to handle the power. I want about 500HP in the end, just enough to get up hills and tow but I do not need to burn up tires. I figure at some point I will have 19,000lbs on the truck plus towing 8-9 tons so I will need torque and power.
So there is where I am at, now
