Check your vac lines all the way to your axle and if your getting vac then yes it is your actuator get rid of that and get posi lock cable and put in tons better and dont have to worry about it failing

looks like i am hunting for a vacume leak... any popular places to start my search? my brakes have been messed up to... seems like it may b the pump?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

also the steering gear box just started leaking to... could that have somthing to do with it?

I would say yes you have a vacum leak and no it has nothing to do with the steering box leaking. Just start at the vacum pump and check all the hoses, I'd bet it's the big hose that goes to the brake booster because I had a broken vac line on my cruise control and it didn't affect my brakes or anything else.

If the hose was swoolen it's probably from oil getting in it and that may possibly be from the vacum pump being bad
