I have a 12 valve with a 5spd with 4.10 gearing on the freeway icant get over 70mph in overdrive could this be a gearing problem or somtehing else thanks for any help

 

i believe i have the same gears in my 92 5 speed and 85 to 90 is about tops for me. are you sure it is not a fuel problem?

 

gov springs will help you out

 

ya check out your fuel and make sure you have good pressure also check the intercooler boots,if one of them is ripped or came off it will decrease your power and speed, a gsk kit will raise your top speed also but you should be able to hit 80 or 90mph stock, my 95 with auto would go 95 tops stock but when i put the 3k springs in-it just keeps climbing past 110

also had a bone stock 94 with 5speed and 4.10 and max top end was 85mph fulling loaded or empty

 

What size tires on it?

 

I have 285/75/16 tires. (33's). I also have a 3k kit in it

how many clicks are on the gov springs?

 

Its almost like its hitting a speed limiter I get to 2400 and it starts bucking

I didnt put them in I couldnt tell you enterprise engine did them

 

Did you have this problem before they installed the springs?
