Default copper spray

ok, im on head gasket #4! a diesel mechanic told me it bc i used copper spray on it.... any thoughts?

What's your reasoning for the copper spray?! Your basically making a double gasket and easy to blow.

Also if your on number 4 has the head and block been checked with a straight edge and feeler gauges to see if it's warped?

head and block ar good to go.... i was told to use copper spray....

do you have studs? are you torquing everything down correctly and in the correct order? are you putting your brand new HG through a lot of boost/drive pressure?

new head bolts, 35 lbs max boost, in correct order..... 125 ft lbs

ok idk much about this copper spray stuff but i would stay away from it. if you are on your forth HG and you used the stuff every time then logically i would think that it is making weak spots where there should be solid gasket which will get ruined easier.

no copper spray on the gasket, its got silicone on the gasket so theres no need 2 spray it. have the head decked

i just had the head decked again, ill try it with no copper spray.... does everyone use the stock torque precedure or should i got to 125 ft lbs. is it best to run it a while then go back and retorque it or just let it go? also if i do go back and retorque it do i have to reset my valve lash?

stock bolts go 90ft lb + 90 degrees. u should put headstuds in if u have the funds. check the valve lash when u retorque. what r u cleaning the block with? 3m makes these little plastic brush things that go in a air grinder that wont take metal off but cleans very well. go to a fastenal or an auto parts store and get 1. heres wat they look like
