copper spray
ok idk much about this copper spray stuff but i would stay away from it. if you are on your forth HG and you used the stuff every time then logically i would think that it is making weak spots where there should be solid gasket which will get ruined easier.
i just had the head decked again, ill try it with no copper spray.... does everyone use the stock torque precedure or should i got to 125 ft lbs. is it best to run it a while then go back and retorque it or just let it go? also if i do go back and retorque it do i have to reset my valve lash?
stock bolts go 90ft lb + 90 degrees. u should put headstuds in if u have the funds. check the valve lash when u retorque. what r u cleaning the block with? 3m makes these little plastic brush things that go in a air grinder that wont take metal off but cleans very well. go to a fastenal or an auto parts store and get 1. heres wat they look like
