4x4??
what makes the 4x4 just quit working,i ghecked the linkage,it's moving like normal, what could be the problem, vacuum????how are the vacuum hoses routed?i assume they gp to the vac.pump on the motor????
Your right, it is most likley a vacumm issue.
check all the fittings especially the tees running along the top of the cowl. Trace the one the comes off of the actuator.
Just my opinion, your's of course may vary.

the lines run down the frame rail to the trans cross member. there connected by two rubber fittings, make sure there both on and sealing. Another thing to check would be the connection on top of the t case. should be a 4 line fitting up on top, make sure it is thigh and not leaking.
i have had alot of 4x4 problems, one time mine accuator was frozen and i had to get a new one, then my lines all leaked, then something went wrong with the vacumm switch inside the t-case, now im running my switch set up and it works perfect- just check everything there is more to go wrong than just leaks
