Default HELLLPPPP!!!!

guys im down visiting family in tennessee and i was going down i 81 and my turbo went kaboom the exhaust housing bearing went and let the compressor wheel hit the housing and it all shredded... i only found some pieces of the turbo am i safe to just replace the turbo or should i pull the intercooler and lines andcheck them for shrapnel ????

pull the intercooler and check the intake. better safe than sorry

oh man that sucks If it was me I would tear it apart just to be sure....better to be safe than sorry

I would try to find all the pieces I can before I started it again. All it takes is one piece to f@#% sh!* up. sucks.

well what i did was pulled all the intercooler line runnning to the intake horn and cut up a t shirt into a few pieces and clamped it over the intake and idled the truck back to my aunts house... i guess im gonna have to try and pull the intercooler here with the tools i have and try and find a turbo down here to put on

all you need to pull the intercooler is a some metric wrenches. its very simple, 2 10mm bolts hold it on and it lifts out of place
