lastnight i was cruising around town at about 35-40 in 4th gear when i put it to the floor go lay a little smoke, a few mins later i noticed my turbo was alot louder than is usually is and its still like that. it now has one hell of a whistle at idle and through low rpms. it doesnt really sound like a cummins turbo whistle its almost more like a psd whistle. what could of caused this? thanks.

 

does it still have good boost? it could be a boost leak or exhaust leak, you should also pull the intake tube off and check the side play and in and out play of the compressor wheel

 

it still pushes 35psi. if it ever stops raining i could check it. kinda sucks having a truck too tall for ur garage

just checked it and side to side is ok but its got some play in and out...
