Question heres one for ya

ok yesterday i put my airdog2 165 replacement pump on my truck
my other airdog had low fuel pressure and my fuel pressure guage sweeped from 20 to 30 psi
now with the new pump ive got it adjusted at 45psi but the guage still sweeps but from 35 to 50psi now
http://s1020.photobucket.com/albums/af328/12vcummins96/?action=view&current=007-2.flv
that gives you an idea i have the perfomax ev2 guage with a needle valve before the sensor the sensor is located in the p pump intake elbow fitting
as well my truck will not get over 2200 rpms with a 3k kit in it and i used to be able to bury the pyro now it will only hit 1400 so see if we can get it figured out

did you run a voltage test to the feed line going to the pump?

Call pureflow yet? From what I hear they have great tech people on hand to help with problems just like this.

Need more details on the installation.

The needle valve should be almost closed. Close it all the way and then just crack it - 1/16 th to 1/8 th of a turn.

it could have something wrong in the tank i will drop it this weekend i have to replace my float sending unit
supply voltage to the pump is 14.3 with the truck running
im leaning towards somthing wrong in the tank but would like to see if any of you have had the same problem and fixed it or any others thanks

Try closing the valve all the way and just opening it until you get a smooth reading. I think this could be the issue - much easier than dropping the tank.

With a electric fuel system you do not need a "needle valve".

There is a port on the top of the AD on the out side of the fuel supply, under the end of the motor,to place a fuel pressure gauge or the optional low pressure warning alarm.

A FASS also has the same port on their units on the out side of the fuel supply.

On Edit...
The "Needle Valve" is only needed on the factory mechanical fuel supply system to control the pulses that it produces.
