Default Grid Heater Cycling

OK...Why in the hell is my grid heater cycling at 55*F? I cleaned the IAT sencer. Sometimes it does it, sometimes not. Can I just disconnect the damn thing for the summer?
Thanks in advance.

isnt it supposed to cycle at 55? i could be wrong. i like using it cus it easier on everything if it starts up easy. but i dont see the problem with just dissconecting it. im pretty sure the light will still come on and everything so i dont see the point in dissconnecting it.

You could try testing the intake air temp sensor.

you can unplug it and it wont hurt anything the only thing its going to do is make your wait to start light stay on for the whole 60 second cycle on every start up even if its 100 degrees outside, and yes they do still cycle up to 55 degrees

Wow..thank all of you. Mine really wasnt cycling under 55* for a long time. It was actually closer to 50* or under. Maybe that sencer is bad. i do keep it clean.
