Sounds to me like maybe the fuel filter is clogged. Just a guess.

Fuel Filter first, this is one of the most neglected maintenance things on our diesel trucks most people don't change them often enough. It's recommended every 6 months I change mine every 3 months.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? I'll bet you could have purchased two or three by now with the savings from all those wasted fuel filters.

Well when you're not just using 100 % fuel out of the pump at the station it's cheaper just to put in the new filter, also the purpose of a filter is to keep the junk out of the motor. Yes I have a fuel pressure gauge, I prefer to keep the fuel going into my motor free of contaminants.

Did you know that filters filter increasingly better over time and your FP gauge can be used to tell when it is beginning to clog and actually "needs" changed?
