Default ford school bus p-pump

Just wonder out of curiosity.......I was told that the p-pump on a Ford school bus was totally different than a dodge ram p-pump and you can't turn them up...is this true?

u can turn them up, there just an industrial pump. the plungers are different style and the pump shafts are supposed to be weaker. im running a motor out of a bus. i laid down 339 with alot of boost leaks with it

i think its a allison on the bus and yes i was thinking about the p-pump option....can't really see them being any weaker pump then the dodge runs....just a different color
so will delivery valves and all that fit them?

yes, thats all the same. just the shaft was made for industrial use. not meant to spin the 4+k that u would be wanting out of it.
