Default Valair Ceramic single clutch like?

Just wondering what the Valiar full ceramic single clutch is like, because they seem popular.

i had one and liked it but your not suppose to tow with it you could weld it to the flywheel, i now i have the next one up the kevlar/kevlar and love it grabs hard, not to bad for city driving with the 3800# PP used stock hydros, and i can tow with it, i dont think the its rated as high 450hp-950ftlb compared to the 500hp-1000ftlb.

Look at the kevlar/ceramic. Very similar power ratings as the 1800$ southbends

So you cannot pull a trailor at all with a ceramic? How does welding the clutch together work with shifting? That sounds hard on the transmission.

not actually welding it together, but from the ceramic not wanting to slip at all and grabbing to hard slipping it can cause a lot of damage to your flywheel to the point where it might fuse together hence kinda like welding.

it all depends on how u drive, and how heavy u tow. he clutch is ment to hold power, but not slip at all. its either engaged, of not, no inbetween. if u have a 2wd lo set up in ur truck, it will make the clutch seem less grabby.

85_305, what all have u done with ur clutch to be so knowledgeable? your prices that u posted arent even close to the same clutch. the 1800 is a DD disk clutch, or someone was tryin to screw u over big time. im guessin u just dont know what u are talkin bout.

I'm running the Full Ceramic Single in my 01 6spd. Its a very aggressive clutch. Sometimes I think about going with a Ceramic/Kevlar Single Disc but I'm going to wait and just do a Dual Disc. Last Summer I pulled a good size Pontoon to the lake and sometimes is was a pain in a a$$.
