All I know is it would just bogg out with no torque.

ya because you give it too much fuel. There is a very certain way of driving those gutted afc trucks. Look at youtube or google search how to drive them, but i've heard from gutted afc owners that they will NEVER go back to using an afc to control the fuel after going gutted.

yea its a pain to drive a truck that has been gutted, but you can make it smoke when you want it to smoke and you can make it go like a bat outta hell when you want it to

The afc is the part that sits on top of the pump and holds back the fuel untill the boost builds up. When i was driving it would just cloud out the highway and couldnt find that sweet spot so i just got another horn out of a pulling truck.
