i got mickey tompson rims classic look with 33x12.50x16.50 toyo open countries lasted me a while,but its my dd an ima construction worker so i dont beat the **** out of my truck to much...... likely story

Bad news is, it's gonna get harder and harder to find 16.5 tires

Unless you like really big heavy military tires.

I've got a set of Mickey 315/70r17 MTZs that I have about 8k on. So far I have lost about 3/32 in tread. They rate the tread depth as 19/32 new. Though it's hard to be precise when they have air in them and weight on them.

Like it has been mentioned, Tire rotation and correct pressures play a HUGE part in tire life.

Sounds like you need a tread depth guage

probably. I don't obsess much about the tread depth of my tires so I never bothered to buy one. I used a pair of calipers

Speaking of which, There is a burn out contest tomorrow. I'm thinking I need to skip painting my house tonight and install my Rad.
