haha nice. But he's an hour away. I'm going there today to do my starter and straight pipe, so we'll see if he's talking **** when I'm right there in front of him. I've got a feeling I'm buyin a ****** strap today anyways to pull start my truck since the starter was dee e ay dee yesterday and wouldn't start at all.
Goosneck is tougher and give me some elevation over him. Plus i've seen ***** fly off the hitch from trying to recover people and it was NOT a pretty sight.
I agree though tugging is silly. I just want to shut him up if he's running his trap later today.
ah yes the 4.3 thanks for clarifying that. I guess we'll see what happens though! I'm putting my faith in this mighty diesel!!

That v-6 is a 4.3L. Same bore and stroke as the 350 SBC v-8. The non-"vortech" versions like his were rated at 160-hp.
It all comes down to traction and gearing. With your extra 1000+ lbs in the bed, you'll have what, 3000-3500 lbs over your drive wheels? With him in 4wd, he'll have 5000 lbs over his drive wheels.
Does your diff have some type of locker? If not, and one side lets go, you're done. Though unless he has some type of locking differentials in his truck, he may lose traction as well.
I hate to say it, but if he's using 4-low, you MAY be in for a surprise.
