do it yourself. i don't trust anybody with my pickup though. how did you adjust your steering box. everybody that i've asked about it says it locks up when you do it.

Loosen the nut on the steering box. I turned the allen bolt half a turn. It was still loose so I gave it another half a turn. It steers like new now..

Do i have to take it off to do this. and hopefully it doesn't lock up on me.

Are you nuts? Cummins charges well over $100 an hour. Cummins will charge you $800+ after denying that there even is a problem such as the Killer dowel pin.

You can fix your dowel pin in half a day or a bit more.

i bet cummins wants 1000 dollars to do the kdp. you could do it yourself for under 100 bucks. its one of the easiest thing you could ever do IMO

the kdp-fix is one of the easiest things you could do :gasp: Ripping the front end and timing cover off and all those belts etc is easy?
