Default What size is our stock exhaust?

Is it 4"? My old psd was only 3.5", but this looks bigger than my psd. I'm doing my straight pipe and cat delete shortly and was wondering what size to tell the exhaust shop

3" When I first got my truck the muffler was rattling so I got a 3" chunk of exhaust with flares on either end and some band clamps. I hated it like that. Bought a 4' and liked it a whole lot better. FYI, there are some sponsors here selling 4" exhausts for a bit over $300 (IIRC)...

Someday I'll get a 5" exhaust but for now I just need to fix my exhaust thats broken

Measure it - I have not seen your truck personally so its pretty hard for to answer this question. I have no idea if thats a stock exhaust or not. Im telling you what was on there from the factory.

It looks stock, has the stock hanger where it exits, has the stock muffler and cat etc I can only imagine its stock. 3" it is! Seems obnoxiously small but easier piping to come by I suppose.

Ya I'm def. gonna get an mbrp or farm boy diesel 4-5" sooner or later, but I just need a quick fix to a break in my exhaust line for right now. I've got a few other issues to clear up before I get my goodies

ThIs is another thing you can do yourself if you wanna do it on the cheap! It's def 3", just take a sawsall and hack the cat and muff out in one piece and measure the section when it comes out. Head down to napa and get the according length of pipe with two stainless steel band clamps. Put the pipe in place and bolt the clamps tight done! No hangers required since there is hardly no weight there.

Oh and btw NEVER buy anything from FarmBoy he is a pos and rips people off and says he makes alot of stuff none of which is tru. My 2 cents
