27-30 psi is a quit of bit for stock turbo, check boost leaks.

fill out you sig and let us know whats all done to it! for all we know you could have an hx35 or an hx 50!..... if its a stock turbo that sounds kinda high psi without messing with the wastegate... i can only peg 25 with my brand new stock hx35.... and how long is "extremly" it should only takes me 1 or 2 seconds for my turbo to spoll... but it all depends on how much fuel yer runnin and how big or small yer turbo is!

I think your boost gauge is wrong 42 pounds is alot for just a #5 plate and a 180 pump stock.
