Default valve seating prob

hey guys, i had my friends dad by my truck yesterday, (hes been a mechanic on dodge for 32 yrs) and he said "your truck sounds like it is going to blow up some time soon" and he said something about a valve not seating, so what would i do to fix this, valve lash adjustment??

180k... i highly doubt its gonna blow up, he might be hearing a lift pump tick, if ur worried u could check the valves.. i wouldnt be 2 worried

so what would i check for, loose rockers? and is there any sign of this problem that other people commonly have?

I would go through and adjust all of the valves just for peace of mind, make sure everything looks good while doing the adjustment.

If one looks out of place there has been some issues with 12V tappets wearing out......So keep an eye out for anything really out of place when you do your adjustment. I am talking like one having to be adjusted a lot more than the other rockers.

My truck has always made a weird ticking noise even after the rebuild it makes it. It might be in the rockers or valves because I didn't replace them. I really don't know I thought it was the lift pump going out but I got rid of that and it still does it. I do know that these engines are loud and everyone of them I've listened to makes a little different noise.
