IIRC Hammer has a set on his truck. He'll probably be able to tell you where he got them.

Chrome don't get you home LOL You could always get a set off eBay and send them out to be chromed. I think Cummins used to sell a dress up kit and maybe they still do. I think Mopar Performance sold it through their catalogs as well.

Cummins Chrome kits for the 12v's have been long since discontinued.

I have a set which were on mine at one time but took them off as I like the powder coat look better. The chrome ones were a real PIA to keep nice when you drive the truck everyday and in the winter months with all the road dirt coming in under the hood.

If thats the look you want then buy a set of used covers and have them chromed by your local chrome shop.It willl be way cheaper than trying to buy a set of the factory Cummins/Mopar Performance chrome ones.

The ONLY probelm with polishing them is again, the road dirt and weather that comes in under the hood while your driving in it.I had a set that were polished first and they were the absolute worst. They are nice if you do not daily drive but they get screwed up in a hurry when you drive everyday. Some of the other issues with them are trying to repolish them while they are on the motor for shows and if you do not take into consideration how much of the top of the cover you remove where the bolt goes through they will never get tight.I know it sounds silly, but, that small insignificant little molded in washer means alot when you torque down the cover. If you remove to much then you will need to adjust it with a very thin stainless washer, but, not to much as you will crack the cover when you torque them down.

I actually would reccomend to anyone who likes the polished look to have them clear powder coated afterwards, that way it ensures the shiney finish and they will not need redone all the time.I did that with my old set that I sold to a TDR member last year and he loved them.
