take the afc off loosen the bolts for the fuel plate and slide it, star wheel is under an 8mm plug on top the afc, just push on it with small screw driver,

It aint a stupid question not everyone was born knowing everthing. Its on the top of the pump behing the air in take manifold. Its round on top is held down by 4 bolts its at the back of the pump. Unbolt the 2 bolts holding the fuel solinoid and loosen the bottom bolt and pull it toward the finder. The fuel solinoid is round and has like 3 wires coming out of the top of it. Once you have done that be sure and mark were the AFC housing is so if you ever want to put it back to stock setting. Remove the other two bolts and the line atached to the back then pull the housing off that my friend is the AFC housing. During this process be sure that no dirt or anything falls in the pump. When you take off the AFC housing you will see a square plate that is held down by two flat head screws. Before you touch it be sure and mark it with some scratches so if ya ever want to put it back were it was. Its best to mark everything in two places it helps you line it all up. Loosen the two screws and slide the plat all the way foward toward the front of the motor and tighten the screws back. Moving foward gives it more fuel moving it back gives less fuel. If you have any questions send me a PM if ya want hope this helps.

First, do you have a pyrometer and boost guage??? If not, I wouldnt touch it. You can easily cause big engine damage without guages to monitor the increased temps.

You didnt mention which transmission you have. An auto doesnt like very much increased horsepower. Also, you need to look at getting a free flowing intake and a 4" or larger exhaust.

There is some good info here:

You will find much more info if you use the search botton.
