yea its an o1, i wish the six speed had 2 over drives in it tho, like a really light overdrive and a heavy overdrive, like .85 and .65 cause 1/1 is to low to tow in on the highway and
.73 is a little high to pull in

is there anything i should look into the tranny b4 i put it in? do they throw overdrive gear out like the 5 speeds?

Drain it, remove the PTO covers and spin the input shaft in each gear.

so as long as it spinns over smooth and no bearing slop, and no shavings come out it will be a good transmission

Welcome to Diesel Bombers. The 10 speed trans was out of a bg truck. ( Fuller, spicer, exc..) you can retrofit the trans to hug the 5.9. Not sure how yet how to go about it.As for your question, for better respose in the Common rail section for 5.9's.
