Default 12 valve conversion

i did a 12 valve conversion because i had the 99 and my block cracked. everything seems to work good i just do not have overdrive. but i am also using my 24 valve transmission. i was wondering if because the motor i bought is a manual and does not have a throttle positioning sensor if that could be the reason. let me know thanks

Yep that's the problem. We did the exact same thing with my buddies 99. With his though it wont **** out of 2nd. We are tired of messing with it so we're putting an NV in.

put a pot in place of the tps real easy to do and you can also put a lockup switch in

yes i did. when we got it goin, it wouldnt shift into 4th or lock the tc up. but i tried and tried to get the tach to work, with no luck. called up haisley and schieds, they told me i would have to get a 98 12v harness and computer to get it to work, or get an aftermarket tach.
