if i understand you, the silencer ring is inside the turbo take off your air intake, look inside your turbo and there is a ring on the inside that is pretty easy to pop out

He's right, pops right out. I think I have a BD VB, but I'll be changing it in the spring when I replace my TC, I forget what I'm using, My trans guy has it all built in his head, He makes a pretty stout Trans, and takes good care of me when I need anything, I just let him do his thing. He's got a trans w/ 100k plus miles on it in a truck w/ almost the same mods as mine, And both that guy and me beat the snot out of these transmissions. I can get you more details if you want...

If I was going to run one of Dave's convertors then I would also use his valve body.

Why settle for anything else that is considered 2nd best?.

Goerend VB, Garmon VB or Redline Diesel Power's VB. Eitehr of those would be my choice. Of Course the guy that built Stumpman's should be alright as well.

I called him everyday for a week straight this summer when I needed a TC, I got no return call. Scared me to buy, what good is the warranty going to be when you can't get ahold of anyone to buy one? I have heard good about their products. My VB came with the truck anyhow.
