Default Time to de-tune

Well fellas i think its time to turn the truck down a little. The HX-40 deal went south. got sold behind my back. now im stuck with the WH1C.. SO im left with 191's #5 plate, and 370's. Stupid amount of fuel for that little of air. Im in a search for a turbo. Thinking about building a 35/40 or just saving up for a super B special. With just buyin a house and whatnot i cant play alot at the moment. I got a stock plate im gonna throw in. Maybe move it forward and re-tune the afc. Hopefully it will cool it down alot more. with this setup i can bury my pyro. ( not proud ). I know im not gonna get the temps down to where i want them but at least its a start. maybe i can pull the horse trailer now without my eyes glued to the pyro as much. I guess im just a broke a#$ . O well it will come with time. Sorry guys i really didnt need anything just bored and thought id talk a little.
Thanks for listning,
Kyle

The eBay HX-40's are fine. I have talked to a couple of guys running them and they have had no issues. The one guy have over 10K on his towing. I am going to get one after tax time I hope. You'll need to drill and tap the fitting for the AFC on the front of the compressor but other than that they are bolt on.

I was always scared of them, Just too cheap, too good to be true. They are not real HX40's, they are" hx40 style" I guess the worst thing that could happen is it will blow parts all over your intercooler, or crack and dump all your oil out of the engine, you would smell that for sure.

Like I said I know a couple of guys running them and a few guys on another site as well....no issues with theirs. One guy even made a set of trips with them and they have been running great. I totally understand the uncertaintity though.
