Default grid heater

does anyone know if the computer on 95 controlls the grid heaters
mine quit but so did the speedo,tach,a\c cycling, and quit charging.
i fixed the charging but everything else still dont work
i did the codes off computer but that dont help cuz the only ones i got was tran temp sensor, and tps which i took the auto tranny out and i dont use the tps it just lays there hanging. i dont get any codes that you would expect if the computer was bad i dont even
get any about not charging i checked all the grounds and fuses. added a ground strap
from box to cab and engine to frame. the engine speed sensor isnew and so is the vss on the tranny thanks for any thoughts

Did all this stuff quit at once or did they quit one by one? The grid heater is controled by the computer and the relays for it are located in the engine compartment, bolted to the left inner fender below the left battery. Sounds like you have a ground problem or a circuit in the computer is screwed Anybody else have an idea???

Check to see that the heater grid has no breaks in it, use the multimeter

If the CPS is dead the PCM will shut down as it doesn't think the truck is running. Before you run out to buy a new PCM check the CPS gap and make sure it's bad first.
