BD diesel has a upgraded kit that i am sure is cheaper than the dealers!! they are over priced so you buy a new truck eventually haha not much money selling new ones if ppl can afford to fix the old ones

Until your truck sticks wot and you go into a panic to grab the cable while fling down the road, not to mention what demodriver said.

I have a cable on mine at the moment, and I have that same concern. It'll work until I find a good deal on a new solenoid, but yeah I'm not happy with it overall. The other thing is no chance for remote start without it.

Found my problem. It was a bad ground on the harness which ended up frying the shutdown relay. But I have a new solenoid on there now and still need a relay... great news
