where is the best place to buy a good one for a 97 dodge 2500

Do you want the carpet style or the plastic "factory" style? Both can be had from LMC truck and Geno's Garage. I think Geno's is a bit cheaper with shipping though.

get one from a junkyard, i got mine for 40 bucks
but i had to take it out which is a pita, but itss worth it
